I bought this rare Xbox after looking for one for quite a while. Of course I wanted a broken one so I could try to fix it. I did pay $515 for it which is a lot but it's worth it to me because it's just so cool... so hopefully I can get it working, eventually. ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair Forum: https://www.tronicsfixforum.com/ | TronicsFix

This Alien Hominid Game Boy Advance game can sell for $200-300 - if it's working. A viewer sent me this broken game to see if I can fix it. I'll also be trying to fix a Pokémon Game Boy Color game. | TronicsFix

💸 I definitely overpaid for this Game Boy Store Display Kiosk—but broken ones are so rare I couldn’t resist. I had a blast working on it, and I hope you enjoy watching the repair as much as I enjoyed getting this piece of gaming history working again! | TronicsFix

Ever been ripped off buying a “fixable” console? I was thinking back to some of the worst times that’s happened to me and this one from early 2024 really stands out. From the moment I opened the box things were not looking good. The box wasn’t sealed properly, the bag of screws was wide open, and there was zero padding protecting the console. By the time it arrived, quite a few components had also been knocked off the board. It was a mess but I was determined to at least try to get it working ag

Remember when I worked on this rare console? In 2024 I paid $124 for this broken Taco Bell Gold PS4. When I tested it, it ended up having the blue light of death. The two most common causes of BLOD are APU issues or hard drive issues. Not what I was expecting but thankfully this repair attempt actually turned out pretty good. | TronicsFix

I bought 4 "refurbished" game consoles from Temu so I can see what the condition is on the outside and then open them up for a thorough inspection of the inside. Hopefully we can see what is so "refurbished" about them. The four consoles are a Switch Lite, a PS5, a Switch OLED, and a Nintendo 64. | TronicsFix

This repair sparked a bit of controversy when I first posted it… Did I really fix it - or does it not count? You be the judge. I bought this Special Edition God of War PSP from a seller who claimed he "didn't have time to fix it" after he broke it "replacing the battery." When powered on, the PSP had no display at all. So in this video we dig in, diagnose the issue, and see if this rare handheld can be brought back to life. | TronicsFix

These 5 broken Special Edition PlayStation 4s have been sitting around my shop for a while so I decided to try one more time to fix them... and if they can't be fixed I'll at least swap the cases onto working PS4s. Do you try to fix something and then, if you can't, keep it in case you can figure it out sometime later? What's sitting around your house that you're planning to try to fix sometime? I found this old repair video in my archives. Videos like this always end up being a bit divisive: Did I actually repair it? Or did I just replace stuff? I bought this Taco Bell Limited Edition Xbox One X for $168 (plus shipping) on eBay in 2022. According to the seller, it had a power on/off issue. The Xbox was clearly opened before and seemed like it was having an overheating issue when I tried to start it up. But it needed a lot more work than just the perfect amount of thermal paste! | Troni

This fix from a couple years ago makes me feel nostagic. Anyone else feel the same when you look at older tech? I was excited when I found this rare, broken iQue Game Boy Advance SP. The battery was slightly bulging and completely dead--and of course, that wasn't the only issue. Not the prettiest repair I've done, but it did the job. And honestly, bringing a console like this back to life always feels worth it. | TronicsFix

I've been trying to find a broken Metal Gear Solid PS4 for years and I'm so excited to finally have one! The eBay seller said that the console won't boot so I'll need to get that fixed and then I'm going to upgrade the fan, thermal paste, thermal pads, and harddrive. I'll also replace the controller thumbsticks. In 2024, I sold two Xboxes I had repaired… but when the customers received them, they both said the systems didn’t work! So I had them shipped back to me to find out what happened. Did I make mistakes repairing these consoles, or was something else going on? | TronicsFix

I bought this broken Dead or Alive Special Edition Xbox on eBay but after I bought it the seller asked if I would cancel the transaction since he didn't really want to sell it. Before I responded though, he shipped it out to me. The Xbox hard drive is clicking and it won't start up so I'm going to do some upgrades and mods, including replacing the hard drive with an SSD. What do you think? Should I have sent it back to him or kept it? | TronicsFix

Even though this is from a while back, I still can't believe the repair shop didn't fix this Xbox properly. The seller of this Xbox Series X took it to a repair shop for HDMI port repair but after spending $400 it only worked for about a month before it went back to not showing an image on the screen. So I take it apart to see if we can figure out what went wrong. And get it working again, of course. | TronicsFix

I Bought a BROKEN Halo Edition Original Xbox. The seller said it works fine but won't read a disc. Sure enough, the disc drive won't spin up fully. So I try replacing the laser lens assembly to get it working. Fairly easy fix, right? Or maybe not... Do any of you have an Original Xbox that you still use? One of my viewers sent me this Xbox Series X because they tried to fix it, made it worse, and then gave up. The initial problem was an HDMI port that needed replaced but several other things were damaged in the process. Once I get it working again, I know someone whose Xbox broke that I'm going to give it to. | TronicsFix

This video is from the 2nd Steam Deck I tried to fix - when they were still pretty new and finding parts was difficult. Still a fun project though. The seller said he tried to replace the SSD and ended up breaking off the speaker connector. I was hoping to be able to just replace the speaker connector but, like I said above, back in early 2023 those were difficult to buy so I had to get creative with this fix. One of my viewers sent me this Xbox Series X after a repair shop told them it was "unfixable." The disc drive makes very strange noises and this could be a pretty tricky fix since Xbox Series disc drives are married to the motherboard. But I'm pretty confident this console is fixable. I bought the brokenest PS5 I could find on eBay! It was shipped to me in pieces and one of the biggest problems from the start is that there is liquid metal all over the motherboard. Since liquid metal conducts electricity, having it on the board like that means it could cause shorts and damage components. Plus, it's really hard to clean it up completely. | TronicsFix

Nathan bought a broken PS4 Pro to try to fix, replaced the HDMI port, and got it working... for a while. It eventually stopped working and he couldn't get it working again. So he sent it to me to see if I can fix it. Oh, and did I mention, Nathan is only 12 years old? I'm always inspired by stories from my viewers who try to fix their own electronics. It's really intimidating when you're first starting out and Nathan did a very good job with his first PS4 repair attempt. Check out our 2 desk mat

Sell me your BROKEN Pokémon games here: https://tronicsfix.com/sell-steve-your-stuff In 2022 I worked on this Pokémon Game Boy game where corrosion had eaten away the traces on the circuit board. For this fix I decided to try something new (for me): installing all the game chips and other components onto a brand new board. I bought a broken Microsoft Summer Intern 2009 Xbox 360. This console is super rare and, according to some websites, reselling them is discouraged by Microsoft. I've never seen one for sale until I found this one so I'm pretty excited. The console actually starts up just fine - but it won't read a disc so disc drive repair is the first thing I'll focus on. | TronicsFix

I think this might be my favorite repair shop scam video this year. My viewer took their PS5 to a local repair shop after the HDMI port broke. The shop charged them their normal fee and then later an additional fee to try to fix the console but were never able to actually get it working. I hate it when my viewers get scammed - but it's going to happen so we might as well get some entertainment out of seeing what happened and if I can fix it. Do you have a broken console with an interesting story
